After moving back to Topeka, Lee worked as Publications Manager for Hall Publications, and as Editor of the weekly Topeka Metro News. In late 2005, Lee joined forces with Dwight Widaman, publisher of the Metro Voice newspaper there, to start a Christian newspaper in the Topeka area. In mid-2006, the Topeka/NE Kansas Metro Voice was born. Through sharing resources with the Kansas City office, Lee was able to bring a full-color, cutting edge family newspaper to the Topeka/NE Kansas Christian community.
