Christian Criminals?

President Obama's health care reform is not targeting the elderly or the unborn.  Nor are provisions to pay doctors to assist with living wills anything like "death boards" as Sarah “I can see Russia from my front porch” Palin alleges. And nowhere in the legislation being considered is the word "abortion."

Yes the so-called "safety net" is already in place.  Emergency rooms are obligated to provide health care to whomever enters, however, we all pay for it.  It is time that a real "safety net" be established providing everyone in this country basic health care, something every industrialized society all ready has.  Isn't this "promoting the general welfare" as noted in the Constitution?  If everyone in this country could see their doctor whenever needed there would be less usage of emergency rooms as well as more preventive care, thus reducing the total cost of health care for all.

Bottom line, Did not Jesus teach us not to bear false witness?  You should be ashamed of yourselves for printing this rag called the "metro Voice." I will begin contacting your advertisers and ask they remove their advertising. 

You criminals are behind the assassination of Dr. George Tiller and are now threatening the President of the United States as well as our own Congressman Dennis Moore.  Shame on you false Christians.   

No wonder Ghandi said he would become a Christian if it wasn't for the "Christians."

Response to "Christian Criminals"

First:  All U.S. citizens have the "Freedom of Speech", just as Ms. Morrison does, to speak what they believe to be true.

Second:  The newpaper has the "Freedom of the Press" which allows them to print what they deem important.  Thus, magazines which degrade women and men sexually are allowed to be circulated, too, as well as those which lift up and nurture life in the U.S.A. like this one does.  She has the freedom to choose to read it or not.

Third:  Her comment of "And nowhere in the legislation being considered is the word "abortion" is true, but the word "abortion" should be included as not being paid for by "taxpayer dollars".  Also, no taxpayers dollars should be used to fund any morally divisive "action" (i.e. euthanasia, embryonic stem-cell research, withdrawal of feeding tubes, etc.)  This is part of the "Freedom of Religion", not freedom from religion.

Fourth:  "...promoting the general welfare" should not include "federally-funded" appropriations, except in those already in existence, like the S.R.S.

Fifth:  George Tiller should have had his license to practice "medicine" (I use the term loosely) tken away when it was discovered that he was breaking the law that allowed him to do what he did.  If that had happened, he would probably be alive today.  The people who protected him allowed him to continue breaking the law.  They are just as responsible for his death, as the man who took his life, which all true Christians believe was wrong.

Sixth:  Jesus, also, taught us that "Whatsoever you do TO the least of My brothers, that you do UNTO Me." So every time Tiller killed an innocent unborn child, he made Jesus suffer, too, as well as all of the believers in the Body of Christ.

Seventh:  If you believe what Ghandi said over what GOD (The Trinity) says, then I will pray for you daily to seek and find the truth.

"For the truth shall set you free."  Jesus said, "I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life."
